How HittinCorners researches and ranks DeFi venues
Our job is to help a reader make a safer, more specific decision—not to manufacture a winner. Rankings are editorial research products, not investment advice, guarantees, or a substitute for checking a protocol's current terms before using it.
What we cover
We maintain three separate verticals: Solana DeFi, cross-chain perpetual DEXs, and onchain options. A protocol belongs in a vertical because of the user's job and the product's mechanics, not because a keyword happens to be popular.
How rankings are made
- Directory first. The full ranking hub shows the tracked field and separates reviewed venues from entries we have not researched deeply enough to recommend.
- Decision pages second. Best-of pages select a small number of options for specific needs such as deep liquidity, low fees, different trading designs, or hands-off exposure.
- Comparisons are pair-specific. A comparison owns one decision between two named venues; it is not a second general ranking.
- Model before headline metrics. We do not compare incomparable TVL, volume, open interest, or options premium figures as if they measured the same thing.
Evidence states

Volatile data and review dates
Fees, leverage, volume, open interest, token status, campaigns, points, access rules, audits, and product availability can change. Pages expose a checked date where practical, link to the relevant primary source, and tell readers to verify the live venue before acting. A date is not a guarantee that the claim remains current after the date shown.
Active versus historical programs
Active farming and season pages are separated from historical campaign records. “Live,” “ending soon,” “ended,” and “none confirmed” describe the evidence available at the stated check date; they do not predict a token launch or future reward.
Risk interpretation
Longer operating history, deeper liquidity, published audits, and transparent mechanics are useful evidence, not safety guarantees. Perps add leverage and liquidation risk. Options add strike, expiry, premium, writer risk, and model risk. Points programs add dilution, eligibility, and wasted-effort risk.
Commercial disclosure
HittinCorners may use referral links when it has a real, site-owned code for a specific protocol. A referral relationship does not change the research standard or guarantee a protocol's suitability. Most external protocol links are direct links without a referral code.
Corrections and updates
If a fee, program status, product description, or risk statement is wrong or stale, send the exact URL and the primary source to our contact page. We keep the correction path public and prefer a documented update over silently changing a material claim.
