Extended's points cap is almost fully minted — late for new farmers. Nado's Season 2 is earlier and has real engineering pedigree behind it, but a more conservative leverage ceiling.

Extended and Nado are both newer perps DEXs on their own respective L2s, both still pre-token — but Extended’s points program is much further along, while Nado’s is comparatively fresh. Neither has a confirmed TGE date, but the remaining opportunity size differs significantly between them.

Points program maturity: this is the key difference

Extended’s Season 1 points program has an approximately 70-million-point hard cap, and independent research indicates the vast majority of that cap is already minted (with a meaningful chunk previously clawed back from detected sybil activity). A new wallet starting today is competing for a small remaining slice. Nado’s Season 2 is comparatively earlier in its lifecycle, with weekly point drops still actively distributing and less indication of an imminent hard cap.

Team and infrastructure pedigree

Nado’s standout differentiator is its team: built directly by Kraken’s core engineering team as a flagship application on Ink, Kraken’s own L2. That’s genuine, rare centralized-exchange trading infrastructure pedigree. Extended’s team has ex-Revolut fintech backgrounds — also real, though a different kind of pedigree (consumer fintech versus exchange engineering specifically).

Fees and leverage

Extended offers a notably higher leverage ceiling (100x) than Nado’s more conservative 20x cap, with slightly lower fees on both sides. Nado’s unified margin account (pooling spot, margin, and perps risk in real time) is a genuine capital-efficiency feature Extended doesn’t offer in the same form.

Which one to actually use

  • Choose Nado if you want to farm a points program that’s earlier in its lifecycle, and value real exchange-engineering pedigree behind the platform.
  • Choose Extended if you already have accumulated points from earlier participation, or want higher leverage and slightly lower fees for actual trading rather than farming.
  • New farmers should weigh remaining pool size, not just program existence. See our pre-TGE farming roundup for how both compare to every other open points program we’re tracking.

Frequently asked

Is Extended still worth farming for a new wallet?

Weigh it carefully. Extended's points program has an approximately 70M-point hard cap, with roughly 5M points clawed back from sybil activity and the vast majority of the remaining cap already minted as of our research — a new wallet today has a much smaller remaining pool to compete for than an early participant did.

What's distinctive about Nado's team specifically?

It's built by Kraken's core engineering team, a genuinely rare pedigree among perps DEXs — direct lineage to an established, multi-year centralized exchange's trading infrastructure expertise, not just a claim of "ex-Kraken" individuals.
